The Wh. Tamdhu 8 Years Old is one of the products of Gordon & MacPhail. Gordon & MacPhail has been a company specialized for over one hundred years in the aging and sale of fine distillates. From its original headquarters in Elgin South Street, in the north-east of Scotland, it produces whiskeys appreciated all over the world. The Wh. Tamdhu 8 Years Old is just one of them. A single malt from the Scottish Tamdhu distillery was used for its creation; this underwent an aging process, which lasted about eight years, inside fine wood casks that previously produced American bourbon whiskey and sherry. The use of these particular barrels is precisely what has meant that the Wh. Tamdhu 8 Years Old acquired its unmistakable flavor and its very particular sweet aromas. After these eight years, the whiskey was bottled ready for tasting. The final product is a complex distillate, but still subtle and well balanced.
